Children's Dental Services
Healthy, Happy Smiles Start Early
We know that for many children those first few trips to the dentist can be intimidating, but we are here to help make routine dental care a positive experience for your child.
The dental teams at each of our Winnipeg locations are united in their commitment to helping children feel at ease from the moment they walk through our doors. We are happy to take the time to explain the different sounds and equipment that your child will encounter, leveraging their curiosity as a way to teach good dental health habits.
We work to provide an environment that is calm, friendly, and inviting so that your child will feel relaxed and welcome. During your son or daughter's appointment, the dentist will work at their pace, and take breaks if your young one gets overwhelmed. Every step of the process will be explained in an age-appropriate manner to help prevent surprises along the way.
At each appointment, we will take the time to talk to your child about the importance of maintaining a thorough at-home oral hygiene routine and provide easy-to-understand guidance on proper brushing and flossing techniques. By establishing great oral hygiene practices during early childhood, you provide your son or daughter with the tools they need to keep their teeth healthy and strong throughout their lifetime.
Setting a Solid Foundation for Lifelong Oral Health
We recommend that infants be seen after their first tooth has erupted. Bringing your child in to visit the dentist twice annually from this very early age helps us keep your child's smile healthy. It also makes dental care a normal part of their life and can help prevent dental anxiety from developing in later years.
Dental Services for Kids
Our dentists and dental professionals offer a complete range of oral health services to help keep your child's developing smile healthy and strong from infancy through their teen years and beyond.
Preventive Dental Hygiene
Visiting our office for regular exams and cleanings when your child is young will help preserve their primary teeth until they are ready to fall out and be replaced by permanent teeth. During each appointment, we will review proper oral hygiene techniques to ensure your child's smile is getting the proper care at home.
Restorative Dental Services
If your child is at risk of tooth decay or develops a cavity, we may also recommend restorative treatments such as dental fillings.
